BIO Val Venosta, the organic department of VI.P moved to Laces
A new packaging structure for the constantly growing BIO Val Venosta.
On the 15th of November 2008, the organic department of VI.P - marketing under the BIO Val Venosta brand - moved to Laces to a structure which will only be used for the commercialization of organic apples. "Quality is the guiding principle of VI.P's quality policy in all production and processing phases, ranging from cultivation to the end consumer", explains Gerhard Eberhöfer, responsible for the organic sales in VI.P. "By moving to the new packaging structure of the organic department we could take considerable steps up the quality ladder in the fields of packaging and dispatch. A daily packaging capacity of nearly 150 tons enables us to quickly react to increasing demand and to different packaging needs. The new organic packaging structure obviously corresponds to the current hygiene and work safety requirements."
The new BIO Val Venosta structure is a highly modern establishment which disposes of seven packaging lines with an hourly capacity of about 18 tons and of an automatic traceability system.
