Welcome to the Apple Garden Val Venosta

Where Mother Nature plays the main role

The Val Venosta cultivation area is situated at altitudes between 500 and 1,100m. It is the special microclimate of this area which enables the cultivation of apples, strawberries and vegetables of the highest quality.

There are various reasons:

300 sunny days in Val Venosta

The high number of sunny days (more than 300 per year) is especially important for the apples’ sugar content and colour.

Little precipitation in Val Venosta

Little precipitation (Val Venosta is the valley with least precipitation of the whole Alpine region).

Great range of temperatures in Val Venosta

A great range of temperatures and fresh air, the natural enemy of pests, create a natural "cold storage effect" which slows cell division and therefore fruit and vegetable growth.
