ISO 14001:2004 is an internationally recognized standard for environmental management from the year 2004 that determines the requirements for the environmental management system of a company. In order to make an important contribution to the preservation of the environment and to strengthen environmental awareness, VI.P’s BIO department aimed at obtaining the ISO 14001 certification which was then awarded at the beginning of 2008 after a successful certification audit. The environmental management system is today an integral and successful part of the work and activities of VI.P’s BIO department. Even before the ISO certification the environmental management system of VI.P’s BIO department had already been at a very high level, which has now been further confirmed by the obtained certificate.
