Food safety: Security for our consumers and our producers
Food safety is an important part of our business policy: We stand for a healthy product which was naturally produced in intact surroundings.
Our food safety system includes controls and preventive action for maintaining hygiene in all our production, storage, processing and delivery phases.
Regular controls during all production and processing phases are carried out and documented with the help of a check plan. Field and orchard controls, business controls, controls of the documentation in the business booklet, leave analyses, sprinkling water analyses and soil analyses are today an integral part of our control system.
An important function of our system is to guarantee the safe production of our products. A regular analysis of residues in our products and strict testing methods for checking the active substances used guarantee a maximum of safety and transparency.
Furthermore, traceability of our products is an important pillar of our food safety system. It helps us to protect the consumers as best as possible if problems that might constitute a danger should arise.
In order to be able to permanently tackle the topic of food safety, we rely on training and expert advice for our producers. This is why agricultural organizations support our producers, e.g. regarding the correct use of fertilizers and pesticides and the execution of different agricultural measures in the orchards. Internal and external training programmes for both employees and producers form the basis for a future-oriented and safe food production.
