The Bio Val Venosta brand stands for biological production in Val Venosta. This brand characterizes healthy products of the highest quality that are devoid of chemical residues thanks to a complete renunciation of chemical substances such as pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides. Bio Val Venosta apples do therefore not only distinguish themselves by their perfect appearance but also by their unique taste, consistency and naturalness.
BIO Controls
After numerous visits and controls of every single business the control organ ABCERT s.r.l. in Terlano (recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture) annually release a Bio certificate whose control number is clearly visible on the Bio Val Venosta packaging.
- The aim of this cultivation method is the preservation and increase of soil fertility as well as the improvement of resistance of plants and animals.
- Natural substances such as sulphur, copper, plant extracts etc. are used against animal pests and mycoses.
- For fertilizing the farmers use organic fertilizers (natural fertilizers/compost) instead of easily soluble fertilizers for a long-term improvement of soil fertility.
- Monocultures should be avoided and mixed cultivation should be favoured in order to guarantee sustainable cultivation.
- The regulation of weeds only occurs mechanically.
- The ultimate aim of this cultivation method is to offer the consumer healthy, tasty and nutritious products while at the same time protecting nature.
