The 32nd edition of BioFach, the leading trade fair in the organic sector, represents an indispensable event for VIP. BioFach, which is held from Wednesday 17 to Friday 19 February 2021, attracted about 50,000 professionals from all around the world to Nuremberg during the last years. VIP, the Val Venosta Cooperatives Association, renewed its presence to participate in this year’s eSpecial edition with great enthusiasm.
“Organic is more than just a seal or certification: It’s a synonym for quality and the responsible use of natural resources by conviction. BioFach is the venue where people have shared their common passion, met and exchanged views since 1990. We have always participated in this trade fair and we will continue to do so, even if only in a digital form this year,” explains Gerhard Eberhöfer, organic sales manager VIP.
VIP admittedly is the European leader in the cultivation and commercialization of organic apples as far as product quality and guaranteed service are concerned. Its positioning as a "First class apple partner" is further confirmed by the participation in the online fair with a premium package. Visiting VIP’s virtual stand allows you to discover VIP’s whole organic product range: All of VIP’s apple varieties are presented with pictures and videos of Val Venosta, the Apple Paradise. Moreover, you can learn about the main projects that make VIP so unique. They include BioGraphy, the already familiar project that allows consumers to trace back the apples they have just bought, Juval as the most modern plant for organic apples in Europe, the continuous promotion of sustainability thanks to the "orchards as habitats” project and sustainable packaging. Val Venosta’s organic producers do not content themselves with respecting EU directives for organic products, but are Bioland or Demeter certified as well.
"We participate with great enthusiasm and satisfaction with the current season in BioFach 2021, reinforced by our decades of experience on the international organic market, our professionalism and reliability. The market dynamics, the good prices and the development of sales in line with our sales plan allow us to be optimistic for the coming months and conscious of having gone one step further towards reaching our goal of supplying our clients with organic apples for 12 months a year,” concludes Eberhöfer.
VIP attended the Berlin event with nearly the entire sales team, confirming that Fruit Logistica remains a key trade fair for the Consortium of Fruit and Vegetable Producers of Val Venosta, which boasts 1.500 producers and 5.300 hectares.
