VIP and VOG sign a sub-license agreement for the cultivation in Australia

After Japan and Europe, yello®, the Shinano Gold club apple variety produced exclusively at European level by the VIP and VOG consortia in South Tyrol - Südtirol, broadens its horizons.
At Fruit Logistica 2020 VIP and VOG signed a sub-license agreement with Montague Australia for the cultivation of Shinano Gold. In attendance to celebrate this important milestone were the President of VIP, Thomas Oberhofer, the President of VOG, Georg Kössler, representatives of Montague Fresh Australia, Scott Montague and Rowan Little, and Gerhard Dichgans, in charge of the project on behalf of the two South Tyrolean companies.
“For now the sub-license has established an area of 25 hectares – explains Georg Kössler, who spoke on behalf of the two consortia VOG and VI.P – with the option of expanding it up to 50 hectares, with the products destined exclusively for the Australian domestic market for the time being.”
