Fuji has a pale pink to dark-red and slightly striped colour with a yellow-green bottom. It is medium-sized, compact and very juicy. A occasionally slight glassiness is an indication of a high sugar content.

Due to its extraordinary sweetness and crunchy flesh, the Fuji is highly regarded as an ingredient in gateaux or desserts.

Production Area

Fuji is mainly found in the lower parts of Val Venosta.

The Fuji apple originated in Japan. It was cultivated in Morioka, Japan, in 1939 and created from a cross between the Rall's Janet and Delicious varieties.

Fuji has an extremely aromatic taste. The apple is crunchy, juicy and sweet.
