envy™, a season to remember

Sales season ended at the end of April

A success in terms of sales and consumer appreciation. The sales season of envy™ ended at the end of April with great satisfaction.

The conditions were positive and the results were excellent. The sales campaign for envy™, the super-sweet apple of the Scilate variety, a varietal cross between Royal Gala and Braeburn, marketed by the South Tyrolean Consortia VIP and VOG and owned by New Zealand-based T&G Global, ended at the end of April.

Sales have been dynamic since the start of the season in November 2019, partly thanks to the higher quantities available, around 5300 tonnes, which enabled better planning and a greater presence in retail chains, further strengthened by intense promotional activities spread over 86 days and more than 8000 tasting events.

There were positive results not only in Italy, but also in Spain, Scandinavia and Germany, as well as in Hong Kong, where envy™ is the leading apple in terms of value for money.
