Pinova apple mug cake in the microwave

A last minute and single-portion mug dessert

Mug cakes are nice to look at, easy and quick to prepare. Mix few ingredients in the mug and bake your mug cake in the microwave oven. Don’t miss out on a sweet treat and try this delicious recipe with Pinova apples.

50 g flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 pinches salt
15 g cane sugar
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
60 ml milk
15 g melted butter
50 g Pinova apple
Powdered sugar for decorating

Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a microwave-safe mug (with a capacity of approx. 200 ml). Add cane sugar, vanilla sugar, milk and melted butter and mix everything well until you get a homogeneous, lump-free batter.
Wash and peel the apple, remove the core and cut 50 g into cubes. Mix the apple cubes to the batter in the mug.
Bake in the microwave oven at 900 watts for 1 minute and 20 seconds (make the toothpick test). Your mug cake may take a few seconds longer, depending on the microwave oven. If your cake is not ready yet, put it back to the microwave oven for 5 seconds again and again at 900 watts until it is ready. Serve the apple mug cake hot with powdered sugar.
If you have a sweet tooth, you can also add a few pieces of white chocolate to the batter or serve your apple mug cake with whipped cream.
