I consult farmers on economic issues in my job.
When it comes to apple production, I rely on the knowledge of my business manager Paul, a full-time farmer.

I’m pleased about the good harvest.
Our apple cultivation area is very small: just 1.1 ha. I took over the small “closed farm” from my mother in 1985. I produce shining Gala and Pinova apples according to the principles of organic production together with my wife and my two adult children. My two sisters-in-law and my daughter-in-law help us at harvest time whereas our business manager, who runs our orchard together with his own ones, is responsible for works that require the use of machines.
All fruits are delivered to the GEOS cooperative in Silandro. Our small farm constitutes a second source of income and also fulfils another important function: All family members come together and help each other, if work requires it. Harvest time is the most beautiful period of the year because we then spend most time together. We converted to organic in 2015.
Our orchard is surrounded by like-minded organic farms on all sides. A small organic realm at the edge of Val Venosta’s main place in the valley bottom at the foot of the Sun Mountain. A small paradise where excellent apples grow.

The Val Venosta resistant
The Pinova with its red vermilion-red skin is a typical apple of Val Venosta. Not only is it colourful, it also has a very balanced flavour. Thanks to its long durability, it offers you unlimited fruit enjoyment until the summer season.
