My story

Tobias Pohl's farm is in Tarres on an alluvial fan at the foot of the Tramontana Mountain. The Pohl farm used to have livestock and produce apricots. Now apples are the only crop. Tobias works with his family, mainly with his father Christian, from them he has inherited the farm.

Golden Delicious, Pinova, Red Delicious and Gala all ripen on the Pohl farm and in the future they will be supplemented by other red-skinned varieties. He was with helf of his family the first farmer in Tarres to convert to organics, back in 1997. He could never learn to love synthetic products, and he actually always rather liked weeds anyway.

"We have to treat this earth well out of consideration for the generations to come!" Tobias, skilled carpenter, appreciates oll this and works in the farm with gratification. The orchards are quite Special, with sculptures created from fahter Christian out of natural materials and found objects. A sort of antenna takes care of "better reception of goodness from up above," and he has put a crown on top of his mother tree. There are full moon apples with extra energy which were harvested on a full moon night and there are also musical apples. They are especially pampered, with a soundtrack of Bach and Mozart during the growing season.

The image of the Red Delicious is difficult to resist. Seeing red can be really nice. And the red flavour is even more beautiful!

Golden Delicious
The classic delicious
Golden Delicious is our main variety and, therefore, the queen of Val Venosta apples. That the most popular apple has a real quality, can be seen in its lovely red cheek. By the way, this is typical of fruits on a hillside.

The Val Venosta resistant
The Pinova with its red vermilion-red skin is a typical apple of Val Venosta. Not only is it colourful, it also has a very balanced flavour. Thanks to its long durability, it offers you unlimited fruit enjoyment until the summer season.
