My story

Korngütl farm is in Coldrano in the municipality of Laces, which is a market town. Josef Tscholl's orchards are dotted all over the Val Venosta, from Laces to Silandro and his family has run the farm for 200 years. Korngütl always produced fruit alongside wine, dairy and meat and Josef is continuing the old family tradition. He plants apples and grapes, and makes apple juice, apple vinegar and wine for his own consumption. He also runs a stud and riding stables. The whole family helps him out. Josef graduated from the South Tyrol technical college for fruit production, viticulture and horticulture in Laimburg. Since 1998, he has been growing Gala, Golden Delicious, Dalinbel, Pinova, Jonagold and Braeburn organically, and very successfully. He is convinced by organics. "My apples are true to their pure source, which is exactly what I want for myself and my children."
