We take stock
We have long been committed to reducing CO2 emissions in our production. Assomela, the association of Italian apple producers, has reviewed our environmental impact in the areas of cultivation, plant, packaging and distribution. The "life cycle analysis" was used to study the environmental characteristics of Val Venosta apples throughout the entire production process: from the planting of the orchard via the sale to the final customer. The objective results of this life cycle assessment are presented using three summarised indicators. They each relate to one kilogram of apples sold open for immediate consumption.
