The ‘Val Venosta’ brand combines all the traditions, convictions, special characteristics and strengths that make the apple paradise of Val Venosta so unique. Two ladybirds embody the brand. They are used in the orchards as the natural enemies of pests and, therefore, symbolise above all near-natural production and the idea of sustainability that underpin the work of every VIP member.

The designation ‘PGI’ or ‘Protected Geographical Indication’ (‘g.g.A.’ in German) on our apples not only guarantees the place of origin as Val Venosta in South Tyrol but also the high-quality standards associated with it. Those who choose an Alto Adige apple with the PGI mark can depend on a natural, flawless taste experience ‘made in South Tyrol’.

Our brand symbols – two ladybirds in yellow and red – stand for natural production in the Val Venosta Valley. The cultivation in harmony with our environment is firmly rooted in the tradition of the Val Venosta apple because only through it can our daily work truly bear fruit in the long-run.

A journey through the Val Venosta brand history

Our predecessors realised 40 years ago that the Val Venosta Valley is the perfect place for growing apples. But even then, it was no easy task to capture this special feature in a single brand. And so it grew and changed over the years; at times, its alpine origin took centre stage, while in other moments it was the natural quality in the foreground. A faithful companion along the way has always been the ladybird, which today adorns the Val Venosta logo along with its counterpart. Above all, it symbolises the respect for man and nature, which has always been the natural way in the Val Venosta Valley – just like our apples.
