The history of the youngest of VI.Ps cooperatives
On 30 June 2008, the extraordinary member assemblies of NOG Naturno Plaus and POG Parcines voted for the merger to Texel societą agricola.
The previous cooperatives, namely NOG Naturno Plaus, which was born in 1998 by merger of NOG Naturno and the Plaus cooperative, and POG Parcines can look back to a successful history.
A new chapter of cooperative history now starts with Texel.
This merger results in economic advantages for the single producers.
Texel consists of 366 members with a cultivation area of 1,137 ha.
The cultivation areas belonging to Texel cover all Lower Val Venosta with the villages of Tel, Parcines, Rablą, Plaus, Naturno, Cirlano and Tablą. A few member businesses are also situated in the village of Plars (municipality of Lagundo).
Texel disposes of large storage capacities in Tel (Parcines), Plaus and Naturno.
Naturno will be the only site for the sorting and packaging processes from the harvest 2008. Thanks to the newest technological standards and to competent employees in all departments, Texel offers the best preconditions for meeting future market requirements.
