Every beginning is hard! Switching to organic farming was a major challenge – and still is today. Nevertheless, I know it was the right decision, even though organic apple growing can be very labor-intensive. One has to adapt to the conditions of nature and can rarely plan ahead. Still, it is essential for me to grow apples without the use of chemical products, in order to sustainably protect my health, that of my family, and the environment. This way, future generations will also be able to enjoy an intact agriculture.
An organic fruit farm combined with farm holidays – it’s a perfect match. In our four holiday apartments we warmly welcome our guests from the beginning of March until the end of November, many of whom are loyal regulars. In spring, they share with us the joy of the wonderfully fragrant, beautiful apple blossoms, and in autumn the golden-yellow or deep-red colors of the fruits on the trees. And of course, there’s always an apple or two to “taste”!
